Dodge College of Film and Media Arts is fortunate to be able to provide its students with a wide range of equipment, production spaces, and collections of materials for study.  Although there can never be enough equipment--and equipment is constantly evolving so that what we do have cannot always keep pace with the very latest equipment available--we are dedicated to providing everything that is reasonably necessary for the practice of modern production techniques.

Facilities - Production facilities, editing spaces, new media facilities, screening rooms and more.

Equipment - Lights, cameras...all the hardware you'll need to bring your dreams to life.  Students have full use of the following industry standard production and location equipment*:

• 5 Arri Super 16mm Cameras 
• 9 Arri Regular 16mm Sync Sound Cameras 
• 12 Arri Regular 16mm Non-Sync Cameras 
• 1 Panasonic Varicam HD camera 
• 7 Panasonic HVX-200 HD cameras 
• 7 Panasonic DVX-100 SD cameras 
• 25 3-CCD SD cameras 
• More than 120 video cameras for introductory classes 
• More than 30 sound packages with Fostex solid-state recorders 
• Sound packages come with a variety of shotgun and lavaliere microphones 
• 5 professional camera dollies from J.L. Fisher 
• Lighting equipment including Kino Flo, Mole HMIs and tungsten lighting kits 

*This is what we have as this is written, but we’re always upgrading and updating our equipment and facilities.  By the time you arrive, we’ll have even more.

Computers - Editing labs and individual suites consist of a collection of HP Dual Intel XEON 3.2 GHz workstations with 2GB RAM and 256MB Video RAM each.
