“Bran Nue Dae” Screening with Director Rachel Perkins

Bran Nue Dae (2010) - In the Summer of 1965 a young man is filled with the life of the idyllic old pearling port Broome - fishing, hanging out with his mates and his girl. However his mother returns him to the religious mission for further schooling. After being punished for an act of youthful rebellion, he runs away from the mission on a journey that ultimately leads him back home. (via)

Join us for a free, pre-release screening of the Sundance fan favorite, Bran Nue Dae, set to debut in theaters across the nation next week.  Join the film studies department, and the soon-to-be-named Film Studies Club, in welcoming director Rachel Perkins, and (tentatively) producer Robyn Kershaw, as they answer questions in an informal Q&A following the screening.
