During the course of over 30 years in film and television, Ross Brown has seen and done nearly everything in the business, from top to bottom.
“I’d have to say the bottom was when I had to get down on my hands and knees in front of a bowl of dog food and stand in for a dog on a dog food commercial – because it cost less to use me than to hire an extra dog!
The top included writing for The Cosby Show when it was the #1 show on television, creating and producing prime time comedies for ABC, CBS and NBC, and six years as head writer on the hit ABC comedy Step By Step. Along the way, Brown also sold two feature film scripts and worked as an assistant director on such feature films as Private Benjamin and National Lampoon’s Vacation.
“I’ve had the incredible good fortune to work with and learn from some brilliant comedy writers, directors and performers like Bill Cosby, Mel Brooks, and Harold Ramis. Now it’s my turn to take what I’ve learned from them and others over the past three decades and pass it on to the next generation of writers and producers.”
