At Chapman University, we believe students should see films, make films, and talk about films.  Central to that kind of education is continuing interaction with the filmmakers who have shaped and are shaping our film legacy--writers, directors, producers, editors, cinematographers and others whose work has contributed to film language as we know it today.

Chapman film students have a wide variety of opportunities to interact personally with working film artists--from Q & A sessions following evening screenings to more intimate interactions over dinner, in small seminar settings, or in class.  Chapman guests have included Bryan Singer, Richard Donner, Irvin Kershner, Randa Haines, Paul Mazursky, David Ward, Michael Schiffer, Martha Coolidge, Gregory Nava, Penelope Spheeris, Carol Littleton, Martin Landau and many, many others--names that you will recognize or work that you will know in an instance once you connect the name to the film.
